Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit in the presence of his loving family in his 76th year, Winston Maxwell Stanley. Predeceased by his parents William and Carrie Stanley; brothers, Charlie, Jim, Hubert and Rick, and sister, Evelyn. Leaving to mourn with many happy memories, his loving wife Catherine (Corbett); his 3 sons: Ken (Donna), Ian (Heather), and Gary (Jackie): 2 daughters: Elaine (Keith Smith) and Gillian (Terry Casey); his 8 grandchildren whom he was so very proud of, Katie, Meagan, Alex, Laura, Julia, Samantha, Kyle and Patrick; brothers: Gerald, Albert, Doug (Gladys), Gord (Wynanne), Eric and Eugene; sisters: Jessie (Leo Williams) and Carolyn (Arch Manning); sisters-in-laws: Wesley Stanley, Beverly Stanley and Gert Stanley, and brother-in-law Hubert Horton. Also, the Corbett family: brothers-in-laws Patrick (Ruth), Gerry (Pat), Robert (Mary), Kevin (Daphne) and Paul (Marie). Sisters in laws: Bernice (Brian Duff), Shelia (Wince Crocker) and Janet Bursey. Many nieces and nephews. Special cousins and friends John and Cathy Stanley, Art and Audrey Boyles, long-time friends Terry Philpott and Dr. Anne and Ena Williams. His music buddy whom he traveled and preformed with at the Expo 86, Ed Didham, his cabin friends from Georgetown, Brigus, as well as his fiends from the Masonic and Shrine Club. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-9 p.m. Sunday, May 8th and Monday, May 9th. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road with cremation to follow.
