Lisa Michelle Horwill

Born In: L'Ardoise
Born: January 1st, 1967

Passed in: Rockdale
Passed on: May 5th, 2016

It’s with great sadness that we announce the death of our wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend Lisa which occurred on May 5, 2016 at the Strait Richmond Hospital.
Born on July 1, 1967, Lisa was the daughter of Louie and Loretta (Sampson) Boudreau, both of L’Ardoise.
Like the rest of us, Mom found her spot within the family business, waitressing at the Cosy Corner and cooking at Louie’s Family Restaurant, but her favourite time was spent at L&L Takeout in Rockdale where she got to work beside her mother. Many laughs and stories were shared through that pick-up window, all of which, Mom cherished. Once her MS didn’t allow her to work anymore, she focused on family and friends. She loved to have company, go cruising around the neighbourhood on her scooter, or just getting out to enjoy the sunshine. Things weren’t always easy but she always tried to approach hardship with humour, a trait she has instilled in her girls. Even in her final days, the strength she showed astounded doctors but those who knew her and loved her, expected no less.
Lisa is survived by her husband Duane; daughters Vanessa (Jason) Ryan, and Cassandra; her parents Louie and Loretta (Sampson) Boudreau and her brother Kevin (Christy) Boudreau;n nephew Jesse; niece Joee and furbaby, Shayla; sister-in-law Stephanie (Greg) Seltham and nephew Oliver.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Mary Alma Boudreau and her maternal grandparents Alfie and Ella Sampson.
The family of Lisa would like to thank all of the caregivers she’s had over the years particularly her homecare workers, the emergency room nurses, and floor nurses at the Strait Richmond Hospital for taking such good care of her and of us as well. And, her most dedicated care giver, her Mom Loretta, who took care of her girl better than any doctor could.
There will be no visitation by request.
Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to palliative care at the Strait Richmond Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
Messages to the family may be conveyed at www.greensfuneralhome.ca.
