It is with deep sadness that the family of Sherry, regret to announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital after a short Illness. Leaving to mourn: her brothers, Clarence Sheppard (Mercedes), Roger (Vera), Edward (Judy), Wade ( Ivy), sisters: Leona Gillette (Erving), Kathleen Parsons (Joshua), Thelma Lynch (Joseph), Juanita Sheppard (Nigel Baker), large number nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, her good friend Phyllis Cooper. She was preceded in death by parents, Heber and Matilda (Gilbert), brothers, Merrill, Louis, Gary and Brian. One of her very favourite things to do was dance, she is in Heaven now dancing and free. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. P. Morris, Dr. J. C. Westby, Staff of Long Term Care, and the Palliative Care Unit Western Memorial for her care and support for the family. Visitation will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 2 pm from St. Mary's Church, Curling Street with Reverend Ed King officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre or a charity of one's choice.
