Sandra Wiseman (née Lockyer) passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday May 9, 2016, at the age of 72 years. Lovingly remembered by daughters JoAnn (Dana Bradford), Kim and Sandy (Peter Yates); her granddaughter Allison Stewart; grandsons Ethan and Nickolas Yates; sister Edith Rouse; brother-in-law Jon Elliott; sisters-in-law: Jean Lockyer, Olive Stage, Ruby Wiseman, Joyce Wiseman and Rowena Wiseman; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Annie Lockyer; sister Marie Elliott and brother Roy Lockyer. Her children would like their Mom, Sandra, to be remembered as a kind, compassionate, generous and strong woman. She led her life dedicated to her faith and the love of her family. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Kate Lafferty, the Corner Brook community support team, especially nurse Nicole Lafosse, the oncology and palliative care teams at the VG in Halifax NS, especially Mitch Devoe, care workers Kathy and Leah, cousin Mimie Webster, the ALS Society, City Pharmacy, Aware Home Health Care, and family and friends that provided support during this journey. Friends and family may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Wednesday May 11, 2016 from 7-9 pm and Thursday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Country Haven Funeral Chapel, 167 Country Road. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
