Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at Pleasantview Towers in the presence of her husband and son, Jean Ruby Starkes age 89 years. Predeceased by her parents Herbert John and Bertha White; sisters: Marge White, Lillian Norris, and Jessie Dunphy. Leaving to mourn with fond memories her loving husband of 67 years Charles; her three sons: John of Ontario; Jim (Carol), and Raymond all of Mt. Pearl, NL. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a circle of other relatives and friends. Thank you to the staff at 3 Southeast of Pleasantview Towers for the care and kindness shown to Jean throughout her stay. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl on Wednesday, May 11th and Thursday, May 12th from 2pm - 4pm and 7 pm - 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from First United Church on Friday May 13th, 2016 at 2pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Field of Honour.
