Passed peacefully away at St. John's Long Term Care facility on Friday, May 13, 2016, Gerard Healey (J.P.) of Witless Bay aged 85 years. Predeceased by his parents, George and Kathleen Healey, brothers, Neil & Brendan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Regina Dowden, Lawrence Smith, Elizabeth & Tom Riland, Herman & Patricia Vickers, Alex Williams, Jack Roche, Mildred & Ambrose Norris, niece Wanda (Healey) Robbins, and nephew Bill Riland. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 61 years, Irene; sons: Glenn (Marilyn), Don, Richard (Loretta), David (Michelle, Aimee, Stephen), Rodney (Mondella); grandchildren Ashley Crane (Chris), Shane Healey (Erin), Trista Healey (Kanwar), Ryan Healey (Stacy), Laura Lynn Loder (Nick), Chelsey Healey (Stephen) and John David Healey; great-grandsons Cullen & Keegan Crane, sister Kay Smith, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Chloe Healey, Margaret Roche, Bertha Williams, Bill Vickers, and Vince & Josephine Vickers. Also leaving to mourn many other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends especially the Dean Patrick Cleary Council Knights of Columbus, Witless Bay. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Saturday, May 14, 2016 and Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from Sts. Peter and Paul R.C. Church, Bay Bulls with interment to follow at Holy Cross R.C. Cemetery, Witless Bay. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Patrick's R.C.
