Cherished son, brother, uncle and nephew. Passed away suddenly but peacefully on May 19, 2016, in Calgary, AB, Ernest Scott (Ern) Rideout, in his 54th year. Predeceased by father Ernest A. Rideout, July 5, 1970. Leaving heartbroken with many beautiful memories, his loving mother Elizabeth Eavis (nee Hall), sister Suzanne Stacey (children Nicholas and Kara); brother Robert (Bob) (children Rob and Jennifer); sister Nancie and brother-in-law Andreas Psomopoulos (children Devo and Ariadne) of Brampton, ON; aunts Marie Murphy (late Gerald), Catherine Hodder (Jim), Sheila Lacey (Alex), Joyce Sellars (Cal); many cousins and a huge circle of friends, colleagues and teammates in St. John's and Calgary. The family would also like to extend its sincere gratitude to Mr. John Addy of Calgary, AB, as well as Ern's many friends and colleagues in Calgary for their offers of help and assistance to the family at this difficult time. Ern will be remembered by all for his dry and quick sense of humor, his love of sports (especially his beloved New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New York Islanders), and his dedication to family and friends. Celebration of Life service from Barrett's Chapel, Mount Pearl, NL to be announced at a later date. Donations in Ern's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
