It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that I, Albert Miles, announce the passing of my partner and best friend of 37 years Joyce Miles, on May 24, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Joyce was a very loving woman with a big heart and a smile that could light up a room. She dedicated her life to making sure everyone in her household was taken care of. She also took great care and pride in her flowers. We love to watch the flowers bloom every year around this time.
She is survived by our son, Cordell; godfather, Dave Parsons; close friends, Alberta Ferguson and family, also Neil and Brenda Candless, Scott and Sonia MacVicar, John and Wilma Cathcart, Wayne and Theresa Hardy. She will also be greatly missed by her four legged friend, her cat Desperado.
I wish to thank the staff of the home care workers, and Dr. Steven MacDougall, also the staff and doctors of the CBRH emergency room.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday May 27, 2016 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
