Mike passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital An Cala Unit on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
Born in Sydney on Nov. 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Michael and Obeline Karluk.
Mike is survived by his sons, Johnnie and Shane, USA; his sisters, Connie Jennings, Sydney, Kay (Paul) Fraser, Kentville; his good friend Betty MacIntyre as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his wives Colleen and Veronica ‘Bunny’.
Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
