DELANEY, Alberta Beatrice - age 75 of Port Maitland passed away June 4, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, N.S. on December 14, 1940 she was a daughter to the late Albert and Beatrice (Burns) Sears. Alberta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Vaughn Delaney, Port Maitland; daughter Karen (Shane) Morton, Mavillette; sons Brian (Lisa Roberts), Pembroke, and Paul (Denise Harnish), Port Maitland; brother Roy (Rose) Sears, Newfoundland and sister, Barbara (Leon) Lohnes, Halifax; grandchildren Kristy, Arden and Emma. Besides her parents Alberta was predeceased by her brother Ronald and sister Gladys Pye. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A family graveside service was held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 10th, 2016, at Maitland-Beaver River Cemetery, Pastor Keith Moore officiated.
