Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the age of 75 years, after a courageous battle with cancer, Sandra Lorraine Gushue of Cupids, formerly of Brigus. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Gushue, special companion George Pomeroy, parents Eric E. and Dorothy Lester, also predeceased by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Leaving to mourn with many loving and lasting memories are her two daughters Cynthia (Gerard) James, Jacqueline Gushue (Glenn Baggs). Mourning the loss of their very cherished Nana are Robbie Taylor (Zoey Butler) and Emily James. Remembering her with many fond memories are her only sister Barbara (David deceased) Earle, nephew Greg Earle (Trudy Wells), and niece Leanne Earle (Bruce Prosper) all of Corner Brook. Also leaving to mourn her many nieces and nephews and their families, Remembering her especially is her furry feline companion Snowball. Many heartfelt thanks to two very special cousins, Beverly Forward and Jennifer Forward for being with us during mom's final moments. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 from Broughton's Memorial Chapel, Brigus.
