Peacefully after 96 years of a long full life, it is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our fabulous mother Mary Hardy (nee Koblyka) (Volpel), at St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
Mary will be missed by anyone who encountered her, she was a legend in our family and will be missed by her daughters, Judith (Stan) Murza and Janette (Wayne) Lanz; sisters, Evelyn (Frank) Darazs and Mabel (Les) Timar; stepchildren, Ron (Sharon) Hardy, Doug (Sandra) Hardy, and Marilee (Bob) King; along with a total of 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Bonnie Dennis; her husbands John Volpel and Michael Hardy; parents Catherine and Michael Koblyka; and several of her sisters and brothers.
Mary spent the last years of her life in Winnipeg. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main Street North, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw.
