It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our very special brother, Peter Joseph Jabalee, age 48, on Wednesday July 6, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Peter was born in North Sydney on Dec. 18, 1967, he was the son of the late Michael and Gloria (Mehanna) Jabalee, both of North Sydney. His parents devoted their life to Peter’s Care and wellbeing. Peter lived with his parents until 2005 and then resided in Lingan at a Residential Care Home.
He was a very special boy who was loved by his family dearly. His smile lit up a room. He will be truly missed.
Peter is survived by his brothers, Paul (Amanda) Jabalee, George Jabalee and his sister, Anne (Richard) Walsh. Also surviving are his nieces, Kassandra, Christina and Ainsley, nephews, Mitchell and Michael.
The family wants to offer a special thank you to the staff at Peter’s home for taking such exceptional care of Peter. To his special “buddy” Ann Marie Lalo, who always put a smile on Peter’s face.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will held for family and close friends at 2 p.m. Friday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to our local SPCA or a charity of choice.
