We regret to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Veronica Theriault, age 74, on Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Miner’s Memorial Manor, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Alder Point on Oct. 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emma (Marsh) LeBlanc. Veronica loved to play cards, and listen to music with her family.
Veronica leaves behind to mourn her children; Elizabeth, Albert (Margaret), and Roger (Kim), five grandchildren; Arlo (Amber), Dylan, Amberlynn, Ashley (Robert), and Chelsey, daughter-in-law Sandra her former husband Albert Sr., and her good friend Marie. She is also survived by her sisters; Marguerite, Joyce (James), Mary, Lillian (John), and her brothers Cyril and William.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Joe and Frank, her sister Madonna, and brother-in-law David.
Visitation for family only will take place on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 9 a.m. in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. The Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
