It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Fitzpatrick due to complications with ALS. He was predeceased by his parents James and Bridget, his brothers Terrance and Patrick and his sister Margaret. He is survived by his wife Deirdre, his sons Brendan and Kevin, and his grandson Connor, as well as many nieces and nephews back in Ireland. Brian was born in Hilltown Co. Down. After apprenticing as a mechanic in Ireland, he moved to Glasgow Scotland where he lived and worked for many years. In 1974, he immigrated to Canada where he worked in camps throughout the province, including Clowhom logging camp from which he retired. He lived in Richmond for the past 32 years. Brian was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Canucks, Whitecaps, the BC Lions and Celtic FC.
He will be greatly missed. You'll never walk alone.
Prayers were held on Wednesday, July 13 at 6:00pm and a funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 14 at 11:00am at St. Monica Parish, Richmond, BC.
