Months have grown, day by day
30 years since you went away.
Thoughts are full, and hearts do weigh,
Without you here to share the day.
Time may dull the hands of fate,
Memories forever recall the date.
You went away without farewell,
You said good-bye to none,
Heavens gate was open wide,
And a loving voice said "Come"
Beside your grave we often stand,
Our hearts are tired and sore,
But through the gloom,
There comes the words,
"Not dead....Just gone before:
Life went on without you,
You weren't here to share the joys.
To see Jeffery with his daughter,
Or Crystal with her boys.
In Heaven do you drive your truck?
Are you still called "Daffy Duck?"
Time went on without you,
Life to which you were no part.
But we kept you with us...through memory,
Forever in our hearts.
