JACK MACDONALD
CARD OF THANKS
JACK MACDONALD
The family would like to say thanks for the love and support shown to us on the passing of Jack MacDonald; a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. He passed away on July 28th, 2015. Here are the many thanks we have to give to friends and family alike who have supported us. Thanks to the pallbearers; Sandy MacLennan, Fred MacAulay, Carl Rideout, Riley Blundon (grandson), Doug Blundon (son-in-law), and Michael Forbes (brother-in-law). Thanks to the session of Bethel Presbytarian Church & the board of managers, the men's choir, & members of Tuesday Morning Breakfast. Thanks to the church's elders, who stood guard for Jack before and after the service. The church's session provided an amazing reception afterwards; it was beautifully-prepared and very thoughtful. Thanks to our children, Lori MacDonald-Blundon & Hyler MacDonald, who spoke fondly about their father at the funeral; Jack was very proud of both of them. Hyler carried his father's ashes out of the church with his daughter, Emma. Jack's sister Moira read Scripture that spoke to our hearts, and, along with many of our amazing friends, also helped us in countless different ways during that difficult time. Thanks to Reverend Robert Lyle, who also helped us in many different ways; he spoke very kind and eloquently at the memorial service, and sang a beautiful song in his memory. So many of our friends have provided help more than anyone would ever know; providing donations, food, sympathy, and sometimes even a shoulder to cry on, we simply can't explain from the bottom of our hearts just how grateful we are. The family would also like to thank Dr. Pahil, Dr. Ritter, Dr. Crosby, and the many other talented medical staff who have kept Jack comfortable and at his best health in his final years. We would also like to thank the staff of the palliative care unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, and also the Sydney Memorial Chapel; the compassion and dignity they showed Jack will never be forgotten.
As friends and family, we love you Jack. You will always be in our hearts, and someday we'll see your smiling and joyous face once more.
