Passed peacefully away in the comfort of his home in Jerseyside, surrounded by his loving family and devoted wife of 63 years, Daniel J. Mulrooney, formerly of St. Joseph's Placentia Bay, at the age of 90 years. Danniel was preceded in death by his mother, father, three sisters, two brothers, daughter-in-law Carol-ann, grandson Joshua and his two very special angels in heaven Sammy and Mary. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories, his wife Madonna; sons Austin (Shirley), and Dan (Louise); daughters Mercedes (Wish), Catherine (Frank), Bonnie, Mary (Mack), Yvonne (Jerry), Sadie (Des), and his pride and joy, his personal nurse Darlene (Jerry); also, his precious 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; his sister Gertie Brown; sister-in-law Nora; special nephew Fred; as well as wonderful neighbours and dear friends The Whelans. Dan was a respected, hardworking man who was adored and loved by all he met. He filled our lives with humour and wit daily, for this we were blessed. He will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and never forgotten. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia, with visitation on Tuesday from 1-5 pm and 7-9 pm, and Wednesday from 12-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11 am on Thursday, July 28th, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia, followed by interment at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
