MICHAEL DERUELLE
Born: June 30th, 1963
It is with great sadness we the family of Michael Paul Deruelle announce his passing after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded and cared for by family and girlfriend Patsy at the home of his sister and brother-in-law Anita Marie and Art Davis. Born June 30, 1963 Michael was the son of Anne( Feit) Deruelle and the late Leo Deruelle. He grew up inScotchtown moving to New Waterford later in life. He is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Jared) Deruelle, St. John, NB., Melissa Deruelle, New Waterford, two sons Michael Jr. and Mitchael, Scotchtown and beautiful granddaughter Zoey, New Waterford; sisters Leona (Jimmy) Henry, Scotchtown, Cathy (Rob) Hailes, Lower Sackville, Pauline Morrison, New Victoria, Darlene (Chris) Cormack, Quispansis, NB., and Anita Marie (Art) Davis, Coxheath; brothers Leo (Margaret) Deruelle, Scotchtown and Stephen (Joanne) Deruelle, New Waterford; 13 nieces and nephews and 11 great neices and nephews, (one on the way). He is also survived by girlfriend Patsy Campbell and her son Stephen, daughters Abbie and Amber and Marjorie Deruelle, mother of his four children. Besides his father, Michael was predeceased by a brother in infancy, paternal grandparents Leo and Bella Deruelle, maternal grandparents Mathias and Minnie Feit. While growing up, Michael loved spending time with his family at our summer cottage in upper Grand Mira and going on many camping trips which led to his love of the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard's, Mt. Carmel Ave., with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall, Convent Street all are welcome. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Palliative Care.
