POTHIER, Anne G. – age 69, Upper Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Monday, July 25, 2016. Born in Yarmouth on January 29, 1947, she was a daughter of Nelson J. LeBlanc, Veteran’s Place, Yarmouth, and the late Marjorie (Smith) LeBlanc. Anne was a homemaker who, in her spare time, loved bingo and watching hockey and baseball. She was a great fan of the Yarmouth Mariners and the Toronto Blue Jays. She will be remembered for her sense of humour, kind heart, and love for her grandchildren. Aside from her father, Nelson, she is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Gilles Pothier, as well as by their children, Mark (Kelly) Pothier, Marsha (Jim) Pothier-Foote and Jill Marie (Joël) Jacquard, all of Wedgeport, and loving grandchildren, Brittney, Jaden, Gilles, Jean-Guy, Jacques, Joshua, Dominic and Marcel. Also surviving are her sisters, Louise (Michael) Wood, Yarmouth and Donna (Edward) Sears, Woods Harbour, along with several nieces and nephews and her very special four-legged friend, Molly. Aside from her mother, Marjorie, she was predeceased by a half-sister, Marie Williams. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskiklson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport, where visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday with prayers at 8:30 p.m. The funeral mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 28 at 11 a.m. in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Cemetery Fund.
