Passed away after a short and courageous battle surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 62. Predeceased by his father Ron Abbott and sister Joan Quinlan. Leaving to mourn with fond and cherished memories are his loving wife of 40 years, Judy Abbott; his two daughters, Jillian Abbott-Dalley (Steve) and Krista Joy (Paul); five grandchildren Hunter, Lauren, and Emma Dalley and Hudson and Cameron Joy; mother Alice Abbott; brothers Mick (Sandy), Bill (Ros), Ron (Vera), and Bob (Darlene); sisters Lorraine Kenny (Bren), Betty Yetman (Carl), Linda Abbott and Madonna Nolan (Brian); brother-in-law Frank Quinlan; his precious fur babies PJ and Bella; special friends Dennis Alyward, Billy Coughlan (Barb), Harry Power, John O'Reilly (Carol) and Ron Noftall; As well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially in the fire department and basketball communities where Wayne spent his career and free time doing the things he loved. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Rd, on Monday from 5 pm - 9 pm and Tuesday from 10 am - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 9:30 am from St. Patrick's Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
