Passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 6, 2016, Ralph Parsons aged 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Katie (nee Hopkins); two infant sons; parents Graham and Minnie Parsons; and sister Joyce Shute (Bill). Leaving to mourn are children: Kenneth Parsons, Gary Hopkins (Paula), Sharon King (Glen), Randy Parsons (Jennifer); grandchildren: Sherry, Ricky, Kenny, Kayla, Amanda, Jonathan, Matthew, Katie and Jake; several great-grandchildren; siblings Blanche Drover (Alvin) and Lloyd Parsons; special friend Anne Tucker; and many friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Pleasant View Towers (formerly Hoyles-Escasoni) for their care and compassion over the last five years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, August 10, from 10-12, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Barrett's Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Coughlan's Cemetery, Harbour Grace at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016.
