The death occurred on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, of James "Gordon" Rodgerson of Unionvale, age 80 years, beloved husband of Eva. Born in Unionvale on April 12, 1936, son of the late George and Rillie (Bernard) Rodgerson. Dear father to Karen (Dennis) Milligan; Gordie (Pam) Rodgerson; Laurie (Darryl) Wallace and Joanne (Joey) Lynch. Loving grandfather to Nicholas (Merridith) Milligan, Sara (Jon) Buckley, Lindsay (Aaron) Dawson, Jamie (Megan) Rodgerson, Jeffrey Rodgerson (Ainsley), Kristy Wallace (Oktay), Katie Wallace (Taylor), Kylee Wallace (Calvin), Brett Lynch and Maria Lynch and to great-grandchildren Nate, Marcus, Rhys, Adalyn, Annabelle and Emerson. Gordon is also survived by his brother Lorne and sisters-in-law Dot, Theresa, Olga and Viola Rodgerson, sisters and brothers-in-law Hinson (Carolyn) MacMillan, Olga (Richard) Casey, Sue (Oscar) Arsenault, Marie (Myrl) Ramsay, Juanita Lewis, Marion (James) Jeffery, Mary (Doug) Gallant, Vernon (Donna) Lewis, Brian (Barb) Lewis, Helen Lewis (J.R. Yeo), Robert (Jeannie) Lewis, Hazen (Patricia) Lewis, Diane (Bob) Acton. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Glen, Alfred, Fred, Leroy, Emmerson, infants Erma and James, and sister Isobel Harvey. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in People's Cemetery, Mount Royal.
