JOHN MACEACHERN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John "Hippie" MacEachern of Fort McMurray on August 25, 2016, surrounded by his family at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
John "Hippie" is survived by his fiancé, Anna Lee Nutter; mother, Gloria (Colonel); brothers, Jimmy, Al (Emma); sister, Norma Jean (Trent); nieces, Sarah, Chloe; nephews, Seth (Godson); Mitchell; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. John "Hippie" is predeceased by his father, Norman; "his girl," Lena O'Connor; paternal, maternal grandparents and his loving fur baby, Buddy. Hippie was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia on September 13, 1970. He was a loving son, brother, fiancé, uncle, cousin and friend to many that are left behind to share his memory. He had a passion for horse racing, listening to music, the beach and spending time with family and friends. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Stella Maris Church. Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Duncan MacIssac officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
