Passed peacefully away at the age of 65 on Friday, March 21, 2008 in Toronto, where he lived and raised his family for the past 40 years. Ed was born on August 23, 1942 in Portugal Cove South and as a teenager he moved with his family to St. John's and completed his high school education at St. Pat's Hall. Ed is predeceased by his parents Matthew and Bridget (St. Croix) O'Leary and his brothers: John, Terry and Andy. Ed leaves to mourn his wife Veronica (Steele); his four children whom he adored: Terry, Donna (Jason), Krista (Troy) and Ed Jr. (Robyn); as well as his loving grandchildren: Dillon, Kayla, Darren and a precious addition to arrive this summer, all living in Ontario. Also leaving to mourn with heavy hearts his twin brother and Best Friend Derm (Jean) of Ontario and his brother Matt of Trespassey as well as his sister Kay Harding of St. John's; his sisters-in-law: Dot and Lorraine O'Leary and brothers-in-law: John, Gary and Randy Sydell. Ed leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as other relatives and friends in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Cremation has already taken place in Ontario.
