William B. MacKenzie, 95, of Glace Bay, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late John Daniel and Vivian (Boone) MacKenzie. He was a life-long member of Warden United Church.
Bill’s loving wife of 65 years, Lorraine (King), passed away in 2011. Bill is survived by his daughter, Heather (Barry) Bishop, Calgary, Alta and his son Darryl MacKenzie, San Diego, Calif. Also surviving are grandsons, Cole Bishop, Ken (Carlee) Bishop and great-grandchild, Aurellia. His sister Evelyn (Ferguson) predeceased him. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Patten Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 28 at 2 p.m. with Rev Donald MacDonald and Rev Carolyn Gillard officiating. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
