Stellarton: It is with great sadness that the family of Legora MacLeod announces her sudden passing on Friday, September 2, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Legora was the daughter of the late Murdock and Mary (MacDonald) MacPherson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Murdock.
Legora is survived by her always loving and supportive husband of 45 years Jim, her two children: her daughter Stacie (Scott) Boucher, grandchildren Regan and Nicklaus, her son Jason (Kyla), grandchildren Bethany and James, with a new grandchild arriving in November. Legora’s children and grandchildren lit up her life and were an endless source of happiness for her. Legora is also survived by her brother, Sandy (Agnes), several brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Her sweet and loving ways will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Legora was kind and gentle, a selfless person who always put others first. She was gifted with an intuition of what to do, whenever it was necessary. She appreciated the simple things in life, but most of all, she appreciated her family of whom she was so very proud, and her many dear friends. She loved us all, unconditionally.
A woman of strong faith, Legora was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, from where a celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson presiding.
Visitation will be held in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
