Passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital after a short illness in the presence of his loving family, John Cooper, of Shea Heights, age 82. Predeceased by his parents Annie and Edward Cooper, his brothers Cyril, Jimmy, Joey and his sisters Loretta Williamson, Mary and Annie. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 49 years, Joan (nee Coveyduck); his sons Terry Coveyduck (Carmel) and Randy Coveyduck (Brenda); four grandchildren Joanne (Dean), Jonathan, Darlene (Shaun) and David; two great-grandchildren Myla Firth and Sophia Mouland; his sisters Madonna Mercer (Eric), Gladys Penney (Harold), Rita Hicks; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and circle of friends. A special thank you to the staff at Agnes Pratt Home for all the care that you gave John during his time there. Visitation to be held at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday, September 4th from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, September 5th from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. John Bosco Church, Shea Heights. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in John's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
