Monica Benoit (nee Pumphrey)

Passed on: September 3rd, 2016

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under Heaven. Continuing on her journey, Monica Benoit (née Pumphrey), left this life on September 3, 2016 from St. John's NL, surrounded with the love of her family. She was born on Belle Island November 2nd, 1936 to Isaac and Mary Pumphrey (both predeceased). Monica was an original copy, a true 1st Edition. Unique and selfless barely begin to describe what a truly amazing woman she was. She lived with unwavering integrity, was genuinely kind, honest, passionate and trusted her strong intuition. Her contagious laugh and spirited voice will echo with us all. Leaving to celebrate her life are her darling husband Bill Benoit, the love and light of her life; Rhonda Ryan (nee Hammond) cherished daughter and loving close friend; son-in-law Robert Ryan; granddaughters Ashley Parsons, Monica Ryan and NaGeara Ryan and great-grandson Drake Gruber; siblings Gerald (predeceased 1940), Ron Pumphrey (Marilyn), Mary Fitzgerald (Desmond, deceased), Sheila Mooney (Frank, deceased), Anita Murphy (Jack, deceased), Angela Houde (Edgar), Gerald Pumphrey (Madonna); brother and sister-in-law Stan and Edna Temple; brother-in-law Austin and sister-in-law Jean (deceased) Benoit; brother-in-law Leo Benoit (deceased); brother-in-law Ron and Betty White; special niece Mary Mooney; lifelong friends Ida Bruce and Sally Kelly, close friends Eva and Yanish Lansky, and many other family and friends. We are all heartbroken in her absence, but grateful for her release. A sincere thank you to two angels who gave gentle care to Monica and provided strength and support to her and the family.
