Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, at age 80. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Catherine; brother Allister; and sister Marie. Leaving to mourn his wife Brenda; her daughter Tracey and her children Gerenia, Gemma and Shawn; his brothers: Leo (Beatrice), Donald (Sheila), Melvin (Jane), Virden (Janet) and Malcolm (Frances); brothers-in-law: Don, John, Tom, Kevin, Carl and Gerry (Tina); sisters-in-law: Theresa (Ron), Sandra (Doug), Patricia (Will), Alice and Kathleen (Wally); mother and father-in-law Mary and Gerald; special niece Barbara (Frank) as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Health Sciences Centre for the care in helping to ease Ben's burdens. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, September 8th, from 1-5 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday, September 9th, from 10 am - 12 pm.
