JOAN M. PERIERA
April 10, 1925 ~ August 31, 2016


It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOAN PERIERA of Burin Bay announces her passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on Wednesday, August 31st, 2016, at the age of 91. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband, Harry Periera of 62 years; son, Edwin Periera (Janice) of Fort Nelson, BC; daughter, Edwina Baker (Gerard) of Creston South; 7 grandchildren: Aimee & Jamie Clarke, Cheryl Baker, Michael (Holly) Baker, David Baker, Kenny (Leslie) Rose & Scott (Lisa) Rose; 1 great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rose; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by parents, James & Jessie Dicks; sister, May Mayo; brothers, Cecil & Edwin Dicks.

The Funeral Service took place from the Salvation Army Faith and Hope Corps in Creston South, on Saturday, September 3rd, at 4:00 p.m. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Big Salmonier. In Joan’s memory donations may be made to the Salvation Army or flowers gratefully accepted.
