Stella Rita Hapgood
(October 14, 1928 - August 27, 2016)


Passed peacefully at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Saturday August 27, 2016 Mrs. Stella Rita Hapgood of Frenchman’s Cove at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with precious memories daughter Judith Hapgood of Mount Pearl, granddaughter Brittany Hierlihy of Mount Pearl, brother Don (Mary) Tapper of Frenchman’s Cove, sister Louise Balsom (Vern) of Garnish, sister-in-law Shirley Tapper of Frenchman’s Cove plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband Lloyd Hapgood, parents Ambrose and Amelia Tapper, brother Gerald Tapper, sisters Sadie Young, Sophie Hapgood, brother-in-laws Richard Young, Alex Hapgood. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Gloria Wendover from the St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Frenchman's Cove on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11AM. Interment followed at St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Frenchman's Cove. Pall Bearers were; Brittany Hierlihy, Alexander Hapgood, Alan Nolan, Willis May, William Power, & Roy George. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Warren’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
