Joan Marie Cormier passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family on September 10, 2016 in Stephenville, NL at 56 years of age. A dearly loved wife, mother, nanny, daughter, sister and friend. Joan was predeceased by her son Sheldon Cormier, her father Harry Dove, mother Eva Kendall, sister-in-law Gladys Kendall and nephew Brian Kendall. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Cyril Cormier, son Shawn Joseph (Nicki) Cormier, daughter Trina Ann (Mark) White and grandchildren: Isaiah, Luke, Alexis and Liam. Joan's sisters and brothers will miss her dearly: Genevieve (Wayne), Eileen (Marcel) and Michael (Gladys deceased). Also leaving to mourn her passing, her father-in-law Edward Cormier, mother-in-law Yvonne Cormier and her many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan was a very loving, caring, compassionate, kind hearted, strong and courageous woman. She will be missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Joan's life will take place at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Flat Bay on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. with the Funeral Mass taking place on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.
