Buchanan, Reginald Oliver-83,East Green Harbour, passed away peacefully in Roseway Hospital on September 23,2016. Born in East Green Harbour he was a son of the late Guerdon and Winnifred (Benham) Buchanan. Reg was a long-time fisherman. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed wood carving and woodworking. In his earlier years he loved riding his motorcycle . He enjoyed camping trips with his wife, Pauline, dog, Kelly, family and friends up until a few years ago. He enjoyed many hunting trips at Huey Hill. He is survived by daughters, Paulette (Donald) Scott; Cathy Davis; grandchildren, John, Julie, Karah, DJ, Darcie and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Larissa, Kyle, Kody, Gage and Melody; sisters, Emily Eulalee; Edith Alice and Sylvia Rae. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie Pauline; son, Oliver; brothers, Walter, Arthur, Guerdon, Nathan and Edward; sisters, Elvie, Hester and Beatrice. And his constant companion, his dog Kelly. Visitation was Saturday, September 24 from 7-9 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson’s Chapel, Lockeport. A funeral service was held on Sunday at 2 pm in the Harbour Light Pentecostal Church with Pastor Cy Mercereau officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon Bibles or the Victorian Order of Nurses.
