HENNESSY, Basil - Born July 3, 1935 in Windsor Nova Scotia and passed away on September 8, 2016 at University Hospital, London Ontario. He was the son of the late Frank and Belle Hennessy. Inducted into the Birthplace of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Nova Scotia (2004). He was the husband of Heather and the Father of Mike (Faith), Wendy (Rick), and Cheryl of London and Shawn of Chatham. He was the grandfather of Jill (Mike), Terri, Victoria, and Brandon. Great grandfather of Ava, Aleks, Maggie and George. Bas loved sports of all kinds and had coached Jr Hockey for many years in both London and Wallaceburg. He fought valiantly after undergoing several surgeries. Many thanks to the Drs and nurses of ICU who tried so hard to save him. He will be forever loved and missed.
