Frances Miller (Sharpe)
We, the family of Frances, are saddened to announce her passing on October 2, in Ottawa at the age of 71. Frances was born in Glace Bay, the youngest daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Poirier) Sharpe of No. 11.
She is survived by daughters, Shelley and Tammy and grandchildren Nina Frances, Cooper and Silas all of Ontario; her sister Donna (Ken)Cooke, Bedford, brothers; Gerry (Pat), Port Hawkesbury, Ray and David (Glenda), Glace Bay, special niece Laura Lee, Glace Bay, Sisters-in-law; Ester and Helen of Glace Bay and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband Gerry Miller, sister; Beatty McSween, brothers; Wayne, Clifford and Bernie.
Frances, trained at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Glace Bay, graduating as an RN in 1965 and spent the majority of her career as a pediatric nurse in Smiths Falls, Ontario.
Cremation has taken place.
