ISABEL JANE LAISTER, Nee: FRASER
Died peacefully on September 21st 2016, a resident of Sara Vista Nursing Home, Elmvale Ontario. She was 96 years of age.
Isabel was pre-deceased by her husband Vernon (1970), is survived by daughter Darline Harrop (Harold, 2002) son Donald (Sandra) and daughter Deborah Wagge (Steve), along with seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Isabel was born 17th February 1920 in Little Harbour, Pictou County Nova Scotia, of parents John and Ruth Fraser, one of seven children.
She is survived by two siblings, Margie Johnston (Raymond, deceased) and George Fraser (Joan); pre-deceased by Helen Walters (Clary, deceased) Marshall Fraser (Gladys, deceased) Donald Fraser and Edwin Fraser (Mary).
Isabel met and married Vernon, who was serving in the RCAF, during WW2. For over 30 years they lived in many parts of Canada and Western Europe. After Vernon’s death in 1970, Isabel resided for the most part in Mississauga Ontario, where she worked and retired.
During retirement she made many annual trips to Nova Scotia to visit family and friends.
Isabel was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Isabel’s cremated remains will be interred with Vernon, in Kemptville Ontario.
