William J. STRICKLAND
With sorrow, we, the family of William J. (Bill) Strickland, 79, announce his passing on Tuesday October 4, 2016, at home.
Born in North Sydney on March 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Tom and Isabel (Gove) Strickland. Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years Deborah Strickland (Winstanley); his son, William A. (Billy) Strickland; daughter, Sheri (Keith) Campbell and son, Ricky (Kerry) MacDonald. Pa is also survived by and will be missed by his grandchildren, Logan, Dylan and Lily Campbell, Alicia and Haley MacDonald and Brandon Ellis. Also surviving are his sister, Cassie (Igor) Timtchenko, and brothers Kenneth, Jimmy (Robena), Roy and Joey Strickland; mother-in-Law, Mildred Winstanley; sisters-in- law, Lynn (Bryce) Stubbert, Marlene (Brent) Stubbert, Jackie (David) Gerrow, Bernadette (Robbie) Simm, Adele (Paul) Arsenault and brother-in- law John (Donalda) Winstanley. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by brothers Gordon and Robert, sister Lillian Boyce, and father-in-law Jack Winstanley. There will be no service. Cremation has taken place as per Bill’s wishes. The family thanks all family and friends for their years of love and support.
Bill will be missed by all his trucker, coffee drinking pals.
