Hopewell : James Donald Langille age 80 of the Glen Haven Manor ,New Glasgow and formerly of Hopewell ,Pictou County passed away on Tuesday October 4th ,2016 in the manor.
Born in Berwick he was a son of the late Frank and Jean (Dennison) Langille.
Jim was a resident of Hopewell for 40 years.
He was a graduate of Acadia University and was a geologist employed with the Dept of Natural Resources.
Jim was a member of Christ Anglican Church where he served as a senior church Warden and was on the Parish Council . He was also a member of the choir and the Anglican Men’s Choir
He was a member of the Union IOOF Lodge #30 Springville having received his 35 year pin in June. Jim was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Wawbeek Encampment and Canton , and past treasurer of the Oddfellows Home Board of Directors.
He was a former member of the Caledonia Oddfellows Lodge ,Hopewell
Jim enjoyed volunteering , gardening and collecting rocks.

Sisters-in-law : Ethel Langille of Kingston , N.S.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. on Sunday in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel ,Stellarton.
The IOOF Union Lodge #30 Springville will conduct their
service on Sunday at 6:30 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will take place on Monday at 11 A.M. from Christ Anglican Church with Rev. Darlene Jewers and Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating.
Burial will be in the Christ Church Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Arthritis Society or to Christ Church Memorial Fund.
