Passed away kicking and screaming at his Mount Pearl residence on Friday, October 7, 2016. Bruce was born in Corner Brook, NL on June 23, 1957 (age 59). Predeceased by his parents: George and Lavinia Jane Callahan (Stokes); brothers: Ben and David; brother-in-law Martin Power; dogs Toni, Ginger, and Benny. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years Yvonne (King); his two sons Kyle (Victoria) and Beau (Ashley); brother Brian (Tammy); sisters: Georgina (Norm) Ingraham, Minnie Power, and Linda (Chris) Andrews; sister-in-laws: Vi Callahan, Lorraine Callahan, Elaine (Mike) Barron, and Darlene (Mike) Linehan; brother-in-laws: Len (Barb) King and Wayne (Darlene) King; puppy Darcy; and an overwhelmingly large circle of other relatives and friends including, but not limited to, Sandra (Almon) Osmond, Elizabeth (David) Bowering, Cathy (Clayton) Simms, Aunt Maude and Eileen, Bill, Bev, Anne, Marilyn, Don, and the rest of the Rummoli crowd, and his co-workers and friends at Eastern Health and the AAHP. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Galway. As Bruce always said, "Flowers are nice but cash is always better", donations may be made in his memory to the Easter Seals or the SPCA.
