Cassie Vine Hillier of St. Lunaire-Griquet passed away on October 6, 2016 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 78 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 62 years, Allan Hillier; children Bob, Lawrence (Audrey), Glen (Shelly), Gary, Yvonne (George), Joann (Gene), and Jennifer (Dean); daughter-in-law Lesley; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one brother, eight sisters as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Fred and Gladys Burden, son Scott, and sister Florence. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet from where the funeral service was held on Sunday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment followed in the St. Lunaire-Griquet Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
