Passed away peacefully, at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 12th, 2016, age 83 years. Predeceased by his incredible wife Laura. Basil will be missed dearly by his three children, Cathy, Paul and wife (Debbie), Sherry and husband (Kuljit) and his three grandchildren, Amarjit, Aman and Nicole. Also leaving to mourn, his brothers Graham and Lewis and a number of nieces and nephews. Basil was a memorable gentleman whose character will be remembered and cherished by many. His sense of humour and ability to put a smile on anyone's face will be unforgettable. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation to take place on Friday, October 14th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 15th, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Topsail.
