Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, October 14, 2016, Gordon William Morgan, age 91 years. Former resident and fisherman of Fort Amherst, NL. Predeceased by his parents: William and Stella Morgan; brother Anderson Morgan; daughter-in-law Catherine Morgan; son-in-law James Hancock; great-grandson Travis Day. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 68 years Louise (nee Tucker); four daughters and two sons: Barbara Morgan of NS, Irene Coleman (Mike) of NL, Gary Morgan (Arden) of Alberta, Brenda Morgan of Quebec, Gail Young (Darrell) of NS and Bill Morgan of NS; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters; three brothers; two sisters-in-law; also many nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends. Special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 10 am - 9 pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request.
