In loving memory of Arthur (Sonny) Briggs.
Mornings are the hardest part of my day
Because that’s when I wake up to the reality
Of another day without you being in it;
Another day that leads into a week, a month
and now a year of days without you in them.
And we miss you every day, more than we ever thought we could.
At least I get to see you in my dreams sometimes, and it’s good to be with you again if only for a while.
Rest easy on God’s shoulder, Artie.
