Stellarton: Doris Jean Wong, age 74 of Poplar Street, Stellarton passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Molly Hardy.
Doris was a member of the Michelin Retiree Club and the New Glasgow 55+ Club.
She was a devoted bingo and cribbage player.
Doris is survived by her spouse Stan Wong; sons: Mike Wong (Lucy), Allan Wong (Shona); daughter Linda (Roger) Welham; grandchildren: Amanda, Caitlin, Brandon, Adam and Claire; brother Stewart (Linda) Hardy.
She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Wong, sisters Betty (Milton) Ross, Jane Arnold and brother Freddy Hardy.
The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will take place at 2:30 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Lorne St. Cemetery.
