Ryan Patrick Layes

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ryan Patrick Layes, age 34. Ryan passed away suddenly early in the morning on Monday, October 17, 2016. Born in Sydney he was a son of Mary Gill and Jim Layes. Ryan was a loving and devoted father and family man. He enjoyed taking his kids and his little sister, boating, swimming and fishing in Ben Eoin. He had a passion for gardening and growing vegetables. Some would consider him an expert at growing hot peppers. Ryan also enjoyed Sundays, cooking and getting together with family and friends. Ryan is survived by his mother, Mary (Brian) Gill, Keltic Dr; father, Jim Layes, Lantz; twin sons, Jacob and William, age 3; daughter, Madison, age 6; loving partner, Elizabeth Meade; brothers, David (Jeanette), Morgan, Sean and Kelland; little sister, Hayleigh; nephews, Shamus and Samuel Layes; niece, Grace Layes; many wonderful and loving, aunts, uncles and cousins; friends, James McGuigan, Scott Urquhart and all his friends at Napoli Pizza, Sydney. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Margaret and Eric Morgan and paternal, grandparents, Regina and Joseph Layes.
A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, October 21 at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel, with celebrant Andrew Chapman, officiating.
