WILBURN HARRISON ROSE
July 25, 1936 – October 21, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilburn Rose announces his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the age of 80. Wilburn was the son of the late George and Laura (nee Parsons) Rose. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Georgina, father and mother in law Philip and Elizabeth Hatcher, and brother and sister in law Wilfred and Sandra Burton. He will be sadly missed by loving wife Meg and daughters Phyllis (Austin) Clarke, Rose Blanche and Georgina (Cecil) Parsons, Port aux Basques,. Sisters Yvonne (Jack) Hardy Port aux Basques and Wanda (Rick) Edwards Port aux Basques and brother Calvin (Gertie) Rose, Port aux Basques. Brother in law and great friend George (Annie May) Hayman, Searston. Grandchildren Lori (Dannie) Parsons-Wilson, Moore, SC and Cody (Savannah) Parsons, Port aux Basques and great-grandchildren Taylor, Cayleigh, and Mia and a large circle of nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation took place at St. Michael's Anglican Church in Rose Blanche, NL on Saturday, October 22 from 7-9p.m. and Sunday, October 23 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral services took place on Monday, October 24 at 11a.m., St. Michael's Anglican Church, Rose Blanche, officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Petten. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road.
