NORA GENEVIEVE TOBIN (RYAN)
Card of Thanks
Nora Genevieve (Ryan) Tobin
We, the family of Nora Genevieve (Ryan) Tobin, extend our thanks and gratitude to all those who supported us and expressed their condolences at the time of our great loss. Many thanks go out to those who attended the wake and funeral. Thank you for the Mass cards and sympathy cards, letters and e-mails, flowers, food brought to our home and donations to Holy Cross Cemetery and other charities. The staff at Dooley’s Funeral Home were extremely helpful and accommodating at this difficult time. Special thanks are also extended to Dr. John Kirkpatrick for his excellent patient care and vigilant concern for our mother’s health. The paramedics and the staff at the Northside General Hospital provided wonderful care when Mom was admitted in December with pneumonia. She made a full recovery and as a result had a very happy Christmas and New Year at home with her loving family. The paramedics and the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, at the Emergency section, the Stroke ward and the Palliative Care Centre were all of great help and provided excellent care. Our gratitude also goes out to the choir and all those who participated and helped at the Funeral Mass. We thank Fr. Patrick O’Neil not only for his comforting words but also for being at the hospital for the Sacrament of the Sick. Father Patrick was also instrumental in the presentation of the Angel of Remembrance and flowers to Mom in 2013 in recognition of her role over the decades in the beautification of Holy Cross Cemetery. A special thank you is also extended to Sally Ryan for all her help and kindness during and after the funeral week. Mom was always an avid golfer and it was a very special moment when Lorne Jennex, our golf pro at Seaview gave us her 2016 membership tag, something to which Mom always looked forward. It was a special gesture of kindness which Mom would have greatly appreciated. To all of those people mentioned above and to others who gave us comfort in our time of grief, we are eternally grateful.
