It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our brother, Jim MacLean, 60, of Point Aconi, on Monday, October 31, 2016, at the Northside General Hospital, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Point Aconi on January 26, 1956, Jim was the son of the late Frank and Theresa (Nicholson) MacLean. In his early years, Jim sailed on the Great Lakes. He also loved to fish. He is survived by his wife, Linda and his son, Jonathan. Also left to mourn is his sister, Mary (Rick); brothers, Danny (Catherine) and Peter (Emma) and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. His family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Northside General and Cape Breton Regional Hospitals for the care given to Jim. Jim’s family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 10 a.m. in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines.
