It is with broken hearts that we said goodbye to our beloved Mom, Sister, Nannie, Aunt and Friend, Anita Clark, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Northside General Hospital with her family at her side.
Born in Florence on February 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Viola Jessome. Anita loved to have her family and friends visit from near and far. She enjoyed playing washers and the occasional camping trip with her daughter. She also loved to yard sale with her sister and brother in law and anyone else that came along. In earlier years she lived in Halifax and was an avid dart player which she continued for a while when she moved back to Cape Breton. Later years she spent her time doing things to her house and enjoying her grandchildren, the light of her life. Anita leaves behind her daughter, Carol (Ralph) Apesteguy; sons, Nathan (Sam) and Jimmy (Tammy) and her grandchildren, Allan, Alicia, Jessica, Hannah, Rachel, Hunter, Hudson, Tanner and Ethan. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Bernice (Cyril) Hatcher, Eileen MacDonald, Arthena Matheson and Nancy (Don) Gauthier; brothers, Jimmy (Angela), Blaine (Paula), Joe (Mary) and Reg; many nieces and nephews and a special international student, Kimmy. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Orrin; son, Bruce; a later partner, Frank; sisters, Theresa, Beatrice and Helen and brothers, Thomas and Lorne David. The family would like to thank the staff on 4th floor for the care and comfort they provided, as well as the NSHF for beautiful quilt. Special thanks to Uncle Cyril for all the extra help. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer society or the Northside Hospital Foundation. Visitation for Anita Clark will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 1-4 p.m. in J. M.
